Characters in Literature

When I was a little kid, I loved to watch the holiday cartoon specials. One of my very favorite was Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Every year I would wait for Christmas Television Specials to come around so that I could watch Rudolph finally save the day! He was teased as a young reindeer... you know,  didn't let him play any reindeer games... then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say... And the rest of the story is history! It was always great to see the underdog being appreciated for his talents, that up until that foggy Christmas Eve were hidden.

What is one of your favorite characters from television cartoons or movies that you like? Explain your answer in at least 6 sentences.

  1. When I grew up my brother watched me for a lot of my childhood. With that said, I had to watch whatever tv show he wanted to watch. The shows we watched mostly were Saved By the Bell, Full House, Family Matters, and Prince of Bel-Air. My favorite character out of all these shows would most definitely have to be Will Smith. He was always the funniest person when we watched tv. He had so many jokes and the show was just all around funny. My next favorite character would have to be Michelle off of Full House because she was always so cute!

  2. My favorite character was always the red power ranger. He was always the leader of the power rangers and the strongest of them. Most of the time he had the coolest power animal thing also. When things got heavy he was always the one to pull through at the end when things weren't looking so good. I think my favorite red power ranger was from the Jungle Fury season. Season to season things never really changed, he was always my favorite no matter what.

  3. My favorite character from a television cartoon was Tommy from Rugrats. He was always the leader of the other kids in the neighborhood. Every little kid looked up to Tommy and he was the cutest. Even though kids didn't like him, he still had fun with everyone. His adventures were always the coolest thing the other kids did. He was cute and always nice to others. Even if they got into trouble and had to sit in the pen, they always managed to have a good time. I will always have the memories watching this show with my sister, Ashley.

  5. The television cartoon that comes to my mind when I think back to my younger days is Disney Playhouse. I loved to watch Minny, she was my favorite character. I had a comforter, pillowcase, sheets and a backpack that were all Minny Mouse. When I was sick I would curl up on the couch and watch Disney Playhouse all day long. My favorite was watching Mickey and Minny go around town and they would stop and visit all the other characters. My room was filled with Mickey Mouse favorites as I received them for all special occasions. Disney Playhouse was my number one show for many years of my life.

  6. My favorite cartoon character when I was a little kid was Arthur. The reason that I like him the most is because it was the only cartoon character that I got to watch as a little kid. When my family and I were living in our old house we had three channels that we could only watch and when I came home from school, Arthur was the only channel that wasn't news or sports all the time. If we were lucky we could get Survivor if we wiggled the antenna then we could watch it but somebody had to hold the antenna the whole time. I really didn't watch a whole lot of TV when I was little because we lived on a farm and I have two older brothers that kept me pretty busy. Whether it was outside feeding the bottle calves or playing baseball with my brothers we were busy outside most of the time.

  7. My favorite show from when I was a little kid was The Power Puff Girls. The Power Puff Girls were made of sugar and spice and everything nice but the Professor accidentally added chemical X. Chemical X gave the girls super power. The girls were only in Kindergarden but they could save the city of Townsville from any evil villain. The mayor of Townsville always called the girls when the town was under destruction. My favorite of the three girls was Bubbles. She was the blue Power Puff and she was so sweet but she could beat up the villains. There was also Buttercup and Blossom. Buttercup was green and she was kind of mean and Blossom was red and she was the leader of the three girls.

  8. When I was little I only watched one T.V show, Barney. Barney is a big purple and green dinosaur with two friends, BJ a yellow dinosaur and Baby Bop a green dinosaur. Every episode they would go on a new adventure! One of my favorites was when they went to an island and had to find buried treasure, with their imagination of course! Paul, the great uncle he was, would tape every episode for me so I would never run out of Barney! Also for my birthday, Christmas, Easter, and Fourth of July I would get a new Barney movie is there was one available. To this day I still have every episode on VCR tape and hope one day my kids will like it as much as I did.

  9. When I was little I loved to wake up in the morning and watch Barney. Barney always taught us new things. I remember one episode that he taught the kid to play along with each other cause there was one kid all by himself. He taught us to do the right thing. One of the reasons he was my favorite cartoon character is because he taught us to be nice and respectful. He would take us to new places and teach us about the place. I loved it when he sang songs. LIke the ... I love you, you love me.... you know how it goes. Barney was a very educational show and thats probably why I loved to watch it. Now that I'm grown up I don't watch him anymore. The only time I watch him is when I babysit Ashley.

  10. When I was younger, my favorite cartoon character was Courage from Courage the Cowardly Dog. I had been obsessed with the show and watched every single episode that I could. I loved how the show was very different from other cartoons. It was bizarre and dark, but also funny at the same time. It was even a show that I was able to watch with my dad who would laugh at it as well. I loved how Courage was the one who always had to save his owners from every possible strange occurrence. Another reason why I liked the show and Courage so much was that Courage never would talk to his owners, but would talk only to the "audience". I thought it was fun that it was like I was the only one who really knew what was all going on.

  11. When I was a little kid, I was obsessed with a million characters. I loved Chuckie from the Rugrats. His red hair was the best and the way he talked was funny. At daycare we always loved the Spice Girls. All of the girls picked which one they were and I wanted to be Ginger Spice, the redheaded one. I liked the pink PowderPuff Girl too! I cannot think of her name, but I liked her attitude the most. I can't even think of all the t.v. shows I used to watch when I was little. The one I remember most was watching Titanic all the time at daycare, and I'd always pretend I was Rose. She was my favorite.

  12. When I was little, my family didn't have cable. Basically, we had two channels to choose from and those were CBS and PBS. My favorite show as a kid was Arthur by far. I would have a panic attack if I was not home in time to watch Arthur! My favorite character on the show was obviously Arthur. He always had some good ideas for having fun and was sometimes a little bit deceitful, but I was a little kid so I didn't read much into it. He would worry about the silliest things, just like a normal kid does.

  13. When I was younger, my favorite cartoon character was Tommy from Rugrats. He was always so adventurous and daring. Tommy was the one who was always getting everyone together to go do some crazy adventure. It was fun to watch and see what he was going to make everyone do next. They would never do anything normal kids would do. The adventure was always something off the wall like going to find a old train or searching for Reptar.

  14. When I was younger, I loved watching Avatar: The Last Airbender with my older brother, Shane. There's so many episodes to the show, that there was always something new to watch. And the characters were always out of the world. But my favorite character - throughout the whole series - would have to be Zuko. Although he was the bad guy in a majority of the series, they kept him thoroughly involved, and in the end he joined Aang and his crew to defeat the Fire Lord. He was really funny, too, when he first joined them. He's also a firebender, which I always thought would be the most fun of all the four different types of bending.

  15. When I was younger my favorite cartoon was Bugs Bunny. The show entertained me almost everyday while I was growing up. If he was on at all I just found the punch-line "what's up doc", because he said it at the most perfect times and always had a carrot. I can remember when I was little and I ever ate a carrot I always said "what's up doc" and take a bite, because when I was 5 i thought it was hilarious.

  16. When I was little, our family only had 3 channels. When I got home from school, it was always go to channel 8, because that was the SDPB channel. I loved arthur, but Cyberchase was my favorite. I always loved watching Matt, Enez, and Jackie work school related problems to solve crime against the evil villain The Hacker. Matt was my favorite character, obviously because he was the good guy. I remember one day in 2nd grade we did fractions in math, and the gang had to use fractions to solve a problem. It made me feel like one day I could do the EXACT same thing.

  17. My favorite television show as a kid was Power Rangers. My favorite person in power rangers was definantly the silver ranger. He wasn't always the best or the good guy but he had a sweet suite. He also did help out the other Power Rangers. Also another bonus was that the silver ranger used to be the red ranger, so you get the best of both worlds in one Power Ranger. He was also not shown very much so as a kid i probably liked him more because he was rare.

  18. When I was a little kid, I always use to like to watch Zoboomafoo whenever it was on. It makes a lot of sense, since I am an animal lover. When I was at daycare, I knew that it always came on after Barney, and I wasn't a huge fan of him. When the last 2 or 3 minutes of Barney was playing, I would be sure to get a good seat on the floor so I could watch my favorite show. Zoboomafoo doesn't really teach you a whole lot, but it teaches you about wild animals and how to care for them. They always had that animals favorite snack with them, and Zaboo would always feed the animal its favorite snack. Zaboo would also have flashbacks to Zaboo-land and he would always run into a mystery animal that was left for us to guess what animal he ran into.

  19. Growing up, I used to watch Tom and Jerry all the time. They were my favorite characters in the cartoon world. Even now, I still watch them once in a while when I am not busy doing other things. The only downside of the show, was that they never really talk. Some of the episodes they talk just a little bit. Tom and Jerry were usually not friends, but sometimes they got along. They got along when other cats got involved with trying to take Jerry. Tom always saved the day.

  20. When I was younger my favorite cartoon character was Barney. Barney was always funny and funny looking. He wasn't the same as the rest of the cartoons. He was a dinosaur that was purple and could talk. He was always helping people out and there wasn't bad guys in the cartoon. There is was also the song that they played was always catchy when I was younger. Seeing the new shows of Barney they have changed from when I was younger.

  21. As a child my favorite show to watch was George Shrinks. He was a much smaller than average boy, approximately the size of your pinky finger. He was always fighting little creatures and big problems that his parents and his bother were always causing. His brother was three or four years old and always causing problems for George. But by far the coolest thing about George was his little car. His car could do just about anything and turn into just about any kind of vehicle he wanted. I was amazed by it.

  22. Bugs Bunny is my favorite character. Bugs is a very rabbit. He always had a great plan for every situation. He always tricked Elmer Fudd into not hunting him which proves that wits are very useful. I also really liked Bugs Bunny in Space Jam. He proved to be a very good leader. He took charge of the Tunes Squad when they really needed him. Bugs along with Michael Jordan led the tunes to a victory over the monstars. Bugs is a great role model for all kids.
